The app is guided by the voice of firefly Rachel, a talented piano player, who leads users through the various features and songs. Navigating the app is done through simple gestures, such as dragging fingers from right to left to choose between melodies and motioning up and down to access the menu and learn more about the currently playing song. Tapping the screen allows users to select an item or stop the song. There are also hidden functions to discover.

From the atmospheric tunes of Kalevala: Rachel inspired by the Far North, to the African jungle vibes of Pacha Mama Afrika: Rachel, each composition transports listeners to a different world. Other melodies include Tomas' composition based on song motives from the Taizé community, the legendary Song of Dragon Mushu: Rachel from Mulan, and the wistful piano improvisation of Lonely Planet: Rachel.
